Study of revitalization of the chateau park Mostov

Chateau Mostov is valued especially for its collection of fifteen tiled stoves and unique interior decorations. Chateau Park will be managed as a part of a hotel complex. The concept of park revitalization was developed in continuity to its historical design, focusing on logical paths placement, their hierarchy, generous intersections and so framed green areas. Due to the absence of historical photos or documents that would show original garden design form, there was made decision to not replicate historical elements. Historical elements would be therefore inauthentic. Inspiration comes from 19th century form of the park, which is completed with contemporary content. The focus is on the permeability and usability of outdoor space, subjected to current demands, with respect to existing vegetation elements. Newly proposed areas, outdoor furniture and vegetation elements should be clearly seen as contemporary addition. At the same time they are designed in traditional materials and colours that do not disturb the overall calm and romantic feel of the place.
