Project

Mephared II is the second phase of a university campus project located next to the Hradec Králové University Hospital. The newly designed Mephared II buildings, together with the existing Mephared I, unify the campus and create a central space that was previously missing.

The overall design of the parterre is inspired by the floodplain landscape that once existed here and is still evident in the area today. New water features have been designed (connected to the stormwater management system), complemented by distinct areas of wetland and riparian vegetation, creating a new habitat for wildlife.

A prominent axis runs through the parterre, linking spaces with different functions. The square forms a lively central space, while the atria provide more tranquil, semi-private areas. The spaces around the water are more recreational in character, offering views of the surrounding greenery.
